SPEKTRE
Bye bye to the body and mind

A long, long time ago
I can still remember
how that sci-fi used to make me smile.
And I knew that it was my chance
to let go now of the past
and maybe lose the real world for a while.

But all long series made me shiver,
authors giant books delivered,
writing tired old lines;
it seemed to me they were blind.

I know I'd almost given up,
then I read Robson, what a luck,
the way she wrote it, something stuck:
the sense of wonder found

So:

Bye-bye to the body and mind,
Oh she knows what she shows to the humankind,
Just open a book and take a look what's inside
and a sense of wonder youre gonna find,
a sense of wonder youre gonna find!

Did you meet the God of Love?
See maps of worlds and skies above,
if your writing tells us so?
Do you believe in rockn roll?
Can nanos save my mortal soul,
or do you teach me how to change myself?

There in your books the Forged screamed,
the lovers loved and the poets dreamed
So many books are written
but now Im surely bitten:

I was a lonely fan of Donald Duck
with an interstellar pick-up truck,
here I knew I had found my luck,
and sense of wonder found.

I started singing:

Bye-bye to the body and mind,
Oh she knows what she shows to the humankind,
Just open a book and take a look what's inside
and a sense of wonder youre gonna find,
a sense of wonder youre gonna find!

Bye-bye to the body and mind,
Oh she knows what she shows to the humankind,
Just open a book and take a look what's inside
and a sense of wonder youre gonna find!
